Aqara FP2 Presence Sensor: Why It's Not Just a Motion Sensor

What "Presence Sensor" Means

Regular PIR sees only movement. Sit still 5 min → "no one home" → light off. Annoying.

Presence sensor (mmWave radar) sees human presence even motionless. Aqara FP2 = 60 GHz mmWave + PIR + light sensor.

Difference

Office, 2-hour computer session:

• PIR: micro-movements keep on. 5 min deep reading = off. Annoying.
• FP2: detects breathing/micro-motion. Light stays on. Leave → 30 sec → off.
